The philosophy in which Bodies by Bristol is founded on is known as the Functional Movement System (FMS). We assess the issues and create a fitness program to help people move better, feel better and get stronger.

POWER BASICS

Have you heard of the expression “fundamentals first?” We advocate the simplistic approach of mastering the fundamental movement patterns before progressing a workout. Not to say you won’t get a good workout, but more to the point we train smart. The challenges today is that many of us want to progress to the next level without having our fundamentals well-practiced.
In regards to exercise, the correct basic movements are critically important if we want to minimize your risk for injury. At Bodies By Bristol, the number one goal with any of our exercise programs whether in the studio or online is to prevent injury. We conduct a movement screening analysis to determine if a client’s baseline movement is acceptable. This defines our direction concerning their fitness program.
