A good source of vitamin C is oranges, but also strawberries, red peppers and cantaloupe are other great sources. It’s a water soluble vitamin, so if you have an adequate supply, the excess is flushed out in your urine.

  • Folic acid is necessary for cell renewal. It’s a vitamin no pregnant woman should be without since it helps prevent birth defects. Dark leafy greens, beans, cauliflower and asparagus are a few sources.
  • Vitamin E is also an antioxidant. It’s found in a number of foods, including egg yolks and avocados. It boosts the immune system, promotes healthy blood flow and aids in preventing nerve and muscle damage.
